The Field Reports:

----

Alright guys, so I went out and approached 3 girls tonight. I prepare my indirect opener: "Excuse me, do you know where the nearest Starbucks is?" and ride the bus to my preferred location.

I notice the first lady from afar, who turns out to be in her mid-thirties, she is moving opposite of me in a slow pace so I slow down my pace and say my opener. She doesn't respond, not a single word, just keeps moving. Alright, that's how it is sometimes. I went for it and that's what counts. 1/3

I then went into a mall, because that's where the most girls are, at first I struggled to find any, but then there were tons of them out there, I saw many available sets but hesitated.

I was in my head, not feeling like approaching people, but I didn't give up to feelings.

Eventually, I did it. I approached a girl who I think I might have approached on the night before. She was standing there and I opened her with my indirect opener. She responds, says she doesn't know where it is, I say thanks and keep moving. Easy. Third set was the same, I approached, she was my age this time, she gave me directions, I thanked her, she smiled, I smiled back and went on with my day. 3/3

After the three approaches, I had a bit of a conflicted feeling. I was happy I did it, but I felt like I am able to do more, and shouldn't be limiting myself. That's where the minor insight was: I should, and am, capable of taking more action. It's the only way I (we) will learn this, and every other thing. The only thing between me and what I want is my fears, and that's what I will be working on in the next few weeks.

The Good: Took action.

What I learned: Keep taking action, lean beyond your edge, and keep increasing frequency of sets.

What I will focus on next time: Increasing frequency of sets first, and leaning beyond my edge (escalating and doing scarier sets).

Hope you all have a great day.

Stay tuned for more.

Done.
