EDIT: This is just a theory, I did not come up with it.
what you should NOT take away from this: This applies to everyone and this is 100% true
what you SHOULD take away from this: Identify negative behaviors of others , attribute them to a value system, and respond accordingly so everyone is happier.
A person’s value system is either 6/7/8/9/10 and can gradualy move up/down 1 occsaionally with 10 being the most idealistic and attractive to everyone. Figuring out where you are and where others are is a great way to increase inner value as well as attract others (friends and mates) , and can even come in handy dealing with assholes.
SIX - Supplicative Dynamics
a. Someone who has supplicative dynamics does things for people to get their attention/affection, because he/she feels as if they have little to no value, and the only way to feel better is through others.
b. examples: Someone who buys you free things, someone who agrees with you even if they dont believe in it themselves
c. HOW TO HANDLE: accept them, give them the acceptance they desperately desire (“you know, you’re pretty cool").
SEVEN - Combatitive Dynamics
a. These guys don’t feel as valuable as others in the room so they try to disarm the others/ feel as if they are at the limit of their values and need to bring others down to make their own value appear higher. Often these guys feel as if they have reached the peak of their own value.
b. examples: Bullies, people who put you down intentionally
c. HOW TO HANDLE: respect them despite how hard it might be . Bring to attention how outspoken they are “You know a lot of people don’t say that, so I respect you”
EIGHT - Competitive Dynamics
a. These guys need to beat others to feel value. Often very eager to pick small battles
b.HOW TO HANDLE: demonstrate that they are already valuable to you in your eyes. Create a positive frame in him and he will stop being so competitive
NINE/TEN - Cooperative Dynamics
a. These kinds of people gain value when others are happy/ they try to make others happy
b. It’s easy to spot Nines and Tens because they are constantly making people feel good, always have nice things to say about people, and focus on bringing out the positive aspects of others. This is a quality that women find completely, irresistibly attractive in men.
Being able to identify and handle other peoples' values are crucial if you want to make strong friendships and relationships everywhere you go.
for fun: here is a link to a quiz which attempts to determine your value number http://www.helloquizzy.com/tests/the-guy-number-value-test/
