Rules are limiting. When you are on a first date, you want to have your full potential.

If you've heard of the rule of not getting too deep or too personal in a conversation, consider this: A Russian woman told me how Eastern European women like to pour their life story on men, even men they haven't known for that long. This deep conversations oftentimes make men fall in love with these women. Catharsis is powerful, and men can use it as well.

Dispel from your mind all texting games you heard of. If it takes her 5 minutes to respond to a text so you wait 10 minutes, then you are a loser who just wasted 10 minutes of your life doing something that could have been done in 1 minute. I don't play waiting games out of necessity. I have 4 to 6 conversation threads going with different girls, I have neither the time nor the patience to calculate the perfect timing to send a text.

There are so many women out there. Half the human population. Which means if you mess up with one, there are literally billions more which you can go for.

Don't be stupid, of course. Look for the signs of when it is appropriate to make a move, and maintain solid game. In conversation, say whatever you want. The worst thing you can do is calculate. That kills the tenor of the conversation and makes you look untruthful.

Rules also put a drain on your energy. Trying to maintain and remember all the rules every time is tiring and distracts from your game.

I've experimented with waiting games after getting a woman's number. I've tried as short as 30 seconds, to a day, to a few days, to even a week. The optimal time I've found is a few hours after getting the number. I don't know about this 3 day rule, ain't nobody got time for that.

Rules in pickup are also not meant to be a one size fits all. Your specific scenario is so unique, applying rules made by a pickup artist in a completely different environment and time period are setting yourself up for risk of failure.

These are just some of my thoughts. I followed the rules of pickup for 2 years, and the time I felt myself really flourish was when I dropped the rules and did what I naturally felt was correct.
