Or, exactly the opposite. Every woman that is at least a 3.5 in the looks department gets dozens of these, every single day. Which thereby makes them jaded and less likely to even see your genuine, thought-out message in the sea of all that shit, much less actually respond to it.

Agreed. Online dating is horrible these days. Women want to screen guys by saying read my profile, say something witty, etc. then they got swamped with these conversations. If you follow that wayward advice, you'd be wasting your time! From a male perspective, online dating is a numbers game. Create a nice, polite intro. Glance through the profiles and copy & paste! If she responds, then start being unique, witty, etc. Why write some thoughtful note just for her to potentially claim she doesn't like your shirt, smile, hair, etc. and not even respond? Have sympathy for their pain but that doesn't mean we have to go out of our way to be Romeo for a potential lost cause. Play the numbers!

It's a couple times a day at least, although they don't always realize they're being hit on. Hotter girls will usually pick up on it right away, as well as getting a lot more direct game aimed their way. 10 times a day isn't unheard of of, more if they're out at bars/clubs.
