One thing I’ve noticed about texting/messaging someone new is this unspoken rule of waiting to respond in x amount of time. I understand the purpose is to keep the other person wondering and not seem so needy but I feel like, as an adult, that this is a dumb game to play. Often times I’ll respond within 10-15 minutes of receiving a message. I’m not busy so why wait. What I’m wondering is: Am I putting myself at a disadvantage by doing this/coming off as too available?
