So I know Facebook is far from preferred and I've ignored it, but I've been looking into it recently and reading a few FRs on this sub among other posts.

I'm a student with a break coming up and a few girls "on my radar" but don't have numbers for them due to a lack of opportunities & seclusion. Anyway, what are the odds of getting something in motion by adding them on Facebook, sending a message or two then a "hey ..., let's meet up. text me at xxx-xxx-xxxx"? Also one girl is leaving the country for a few months, so a number wouldn't work for the bulk of the holidays anyway (our interaction wasn't the best, but that's for /r/askseddit).

Also my FB page is barren and is used mainly for work, with only a few friends. I don't have much about me on there, nor a picture of my own face (I'm secretive by nature and hey, it lets her ask more questions). As for social proof, I share a mutual friend or two with some girls - would adding them suffice?
