So I’ve been “daygaming” since last year, but really did it for a month or two last year and started trying it again like a month ago this year. Since trying it out again I’m having trouble getting over approach anxiety in the moment. I went out to daygame today and made zero approaches when I could have made at least 4-5. I daygamed yesterday and made one approach but bailed early on because she was 19 (I’m 28 and that’s a bit too young for me). And the two times before that I made a total of two approaches, both of which had boyfriends. Now when I did it last year it went better for me. Nothing amazing, but a few dates and I was beginning to be able to overcome the approach anxiety better. It’s much harder this time.

I’ve noticed that a lot of my fear is that people around me are going to think I’m weird or creepy. I generally daygame in an area where there’s a lot of people because that’s where I’m going to find a lot of attractive women. I also make excuses as “oh she looks busy or in a rush”. Now I know this is all bullshit. I know that I’m not being weird or creepy because I approach respectfully and move along if she’s not interested. I’ve never actually had a bad reaction from a woman, and nobody has ever called me out or anything. And even if they had, I don’t really care what some random people think because I know I’m doing nothing wrong. And I know that I just have to do it, just go up and talk to her. And it’s a lot easier for me after that. It’s just been really hard for me to get past the fear in the moment. So do you guys have any mental tricks or something like that that maybe have made it easier for you to overcome your anxiety in the moment?
