Tips for texting as an introvert?

I'm kind of on the side of being genuine instead of trying to be somebody you aren't. Because what good are you to her as a fake? Some girls might just like the you that is "warts and all". Yeah, overthinking it and trying to fashion your text so that it fits some type of criteria that you hope will attract someone probably will only make you even more uncomfortable than you already are. Because you are trying to behave as someone you are not.

Focus on improving your in-person conversation and don't sweat the texting. In fact keep it at a minimum.

An important note - people, please learn what words mean and their actual significance. Being an introvert has nothing to do with not knowing how to text a certain way. There are millions of introverts who are charming and outgoing and funny and know how to converse with ease. It just means you get drained by social interaction and need time to recharge, or potentially process differently, not that you're socially inept.

Don't even sweat the texting man. Its really not that big a deal until you're in a pretty serious relationship with said person. Keep the texts short, and what I do is I turn off notifications from texting.

Being an introvert can actually help with ambiguity. If you spill everything thats on your mind in text, well, what are you gonna say in person? Not much probably.

If you're dealing with apps like bumble or tinder, this is a little more important. A tip someone gave me was keep the texts short, and gain some other form of contact from them (phone number, snapchat, etc.) within 4 text messages.

Seems like you need to build your confidence. Thats something that you need to work on. At one point in my life I was shy, and socially awkward. I took certain steps to change my life! Check out these videos, theyll help.

From my experience, I had the best results with texting when I really didn't do that much. I think texting is ok only if both guy and girl are really digging each other. Like, pretty much in love. Otherwise, you need to be too busy for meaningless small talk over text. Just vibe and ask a girl out. There are a shit ton of creepy dudes out there DMing chicks they don't know on insta or straight up sending dick pics. By not doing that, you're a better guy than they are already. But you can't be content, because you can do better! This texting ordeal seems to be your next step. I wish you good luck :)

I'm a bit older than you now, 23, but when I was that age I texted a lot of stupid shit to everyone, not just girls. It takes practice and you'll only know by trying and failing. Now at my age the last couple of girls I've seen have basically told me they hate texting because it's too easy to misinterpret a text, such as a dry sarcastic joke. Long distance stuff is tough and without any more specific examples of your fuck ups and how to improve I can't help you.
