Honestly, if you're into the things in your room, then fucking own that shit. It doesn't matter if it's kiddy stuff if you're passionate about it. Fuck yeah I take pride in my DragonBall Z stuff. I grew up on that show and still love it.

If you're not into the things that you have in there anymore, then get rid of them and replace them with newer interests.

Depends on your interests dude. And skills. I got a centerpoint with a studio set-up around my pc which looks always shiny and i can always show something off, in this case music and such. Rest of place is kinda tidy and stuff, thats it.

Here are some things I did to make my bedroom more attractive.

I set up some small speakers and an old iPod with a playlist already queued up. I practiced to make sure I can get music playing in less than 10 seconds. Nothing stops momentum like you fiddling with music and trying to find something to play. She will be sitting there waiting.

Simplify. Declutter and keep it clean looking. Get rid of a lot of your crap, pick a few select items to be focal points. I have an elaborate Japanese lacquer box on my dresser, it is very eyecatching. Women love to pull out the little drawers and and play with it. I also have a big candle sitting on a beautiful plate, with a lighter next to it so it's always ready to light.

I recently bought a hundred bucks of new bedsheets, a new mattress pad, and a new pillow. Get rid of your smelly old sheets, clean your blankets, get some Febreze and spray it on your mattress and freshen it up before you put the bedding back on. Make sure your room smells ok, box up your old rotten sneakers, etc.

Have some condoms, lube etc. within arms reach of your bed. You do not want to spoil the moment, getting up and rummaging around for condoms. I also suggest having a bottle of water and a couple of towels handy, maybe a pack of wet towlettes. Just tuck this stuff under your bed if you don't have a good place. It is your job to make sure all these logistical matters are taken care of. Make your room support the logistics.

Few bits of advice, I'm average at the old 'approach women' game but this is one area I'm quite good at: take the following points

*general tidiness and cleanliness. Neat/tidy is important, clean even moreso. Whatever bathroom she's using must be as close to spotless as you can get and provide easy to see amenities such as hand soap (a nice custom pump is great) and wipes. Keep the shower clean.

*bedding and sheets. Invest in some nice sheets and bedding. This includes pillows, an underlay (get a soft, fluffy one), quilt, quilt cover and sheets. Get them all to match and go for something that looks masculine. *lighting. Get good mood lighting going, this is done not with the rooms lights but with lamps, have a good floor lamp and another lamp on a bedside table. Keep one of them on during activities, women tend to avoid having sex with the 'house lights' on.

*hobbies and interests. I think not to clutter a room too much, but keep everything tasteful and fun. Having a cool childhood momento is sweet, having a whole room of them, maybe not. you get the idea.

Google "bodybuilding misc bachelor pads". The guys at bodybuilding forum are pretty nuts, but they have some badass stuff they post. I'm not at a point right now to buy most of it, but once I'm financially stable it will be my main inspiration for my place.

My boner personally goes from thunder rod to zero instantly if the girl I'm with is dressed in child pajamas or anything 'childlike' at all is around. It's sorta repulsive to me.

Keep your interests visible but not the center of attention. Remember that it's your BEDroom. That's the main attraction. Especially since it's the reason you posted in this subreddit (to help with laying pipe).

It may or may not be a random girl but if your place is tidy enough "save" an area for her to put her stuff where she feels okay. Makes her feel at home ;)

I've always used this since learning the fact. Don't make your bed ever. It's more inviting to her to just immediately lay in there. I've heard stories of dudes being super clean and make their bed only to have the girl utter the words "wow your bed is so nice I don't want to mess it up" especially if you have big pillows. Chicks love that

The colours of your room matter. Obviously eyebrows will be raised if your room is bright yellow or your lamp is krusty the klown. I'm not saying to spend money in ikea right away but arranging stuff in your room so it doesn't look like that corner is the kiddy section helps. There's some research on the colour of your room gives off a certain vibe in it.

Books helps. Lay some around and even if you don't read at all and use them as paperweights. It gives them the impression that you're at least trying to better yourself on your own. An 18th century art book on a nightstand would be perfect. Or anything that you like in book form. All your stuff may be in the computer (presumably) but she can't see that. They pick up on things

Have your instruments around or at least one of them on its stands.

That's all I can say without knowing more info on you're room. There's a sub call /r/roomdetective where you post a pic of your room and people denounce/guess stuff about you based on the pic alone. Give it a go to test us and yourself it really looks like it belongs to a teenager

I agree with keeping things relevant to what you like. I also personally like simplicity and I don't have a lot in my room and get complimented for it. A mattress on the ground with white sheets. Clothes neatly hanged, shoe rack, guitar and a dresser with my motorcycle helmets in my closet and I'm set.
