Tips/Ideas on getting in state for daygame?

I listen to music in the car, power pose, do whatever I can to get in state

day game is different in that you dont have to be at a high energy level to do it effectively. In fact, having a high energy level can actually be detrimental to your overall results. Being on a similar level as the person you are talking to is a relate-able quality; I like to refer this idea as energy matching. In addition to this, there are expected energy levels for certain environmental interactions, ie. it is weird for someone to be overly excited about waiting in a line, or very apathetic about receiving free ice cream. This is just a clarification, maybe you already knew this.

This is what happens when you go out with the sole intention of pursuing girls. You set an expectation, dont meet the requirement, and then feel bad about it. In order to avoid this problem, dont go out with the sole intention of gaming.

The main issues I think are putting me off daygame is that it takes me an hour to drive to the CBD were daygame is "best", it costs me $15 everytime to pay for fuel and a train ticket which at the moment is pretty hard to afford,

you are making this so hard on yourself. You are literally paying money to travel to a place you dont want to be, to be let down by your expectations. The time, money, and energy taken away from you in this regard is hurting your mindset when you go out.

When you go out to game, make your experience first about whatever it is you WANT to do, and THEN about the game. If you like walks in the park, GO DO THAT with the intention of having a good time with that experience regardless of your interactions with other people. Go thrift shopping, go to market places if you enjoy looking at small seller items. There is no "best" place to game, but there certainly are "best" places for YOU to game. Try optimizing your mindset by choosing something you like to do in a social area. When you finally do end up seeing someone you want to talk to, the environment has already primed you to for the right mindset, logistics, opener, and conversation topics because you actually have interest in being where you are at that current moment. This undertone will shine in your interactions and massively improve your game.
