Focus more on trying to connect with them. Make them laugh and play off what they say sure, but you're trying to build rapport and build a connection with the girl, not put on a comedy show. You want to focus on things you have in common and make her attracted to you through that on top of the physical attraction.

Sounds like you're good at superficial banter but need to work on the more down to earth parts of the conversation.

One of the best pieces of advice I ever got from PUA training materials was, "Eliminate sarcasm from your vocabulary."

I was always a sarcastic guy and I thought I was pretty funny. But after I heard that advice I replayed many incidents from my life, things I said and that other people told me. I decided it wasn't helping me. Overnight I eliminated sarcasm from my repertoire. I don't miss it and I think it helped me a lot with women.

Being sarcastic is bad. It's condescending and breaks rapport. So if you do it often you just keep showing disinterest and might come off as rude or inconsiderate

If you offer up some real examples, I think you can get some better feedback.
