Last Tuesday I went out with a woman from Match. I’m 32 and she’s 26. We had a great time. We talked for three hours. She was very receptive and laughing etc. Maybe the best first date I’ve had. Obvious chemistry.

She had a family member getting married two Fridays ago (three days after we went out,) and she was in the wedding. I told her I’d like to see her again, and she agreed. I texted her two days later and told her to let me know what her schedule was like after the wedding. Crickets. I asked her if she had a good time at the wedding and she finally said she did a couple of days layer . I asked her again to let me know when she could do something again, and that was it. She never said.

It was very strange to me, because I was really happy to have met her that first night and was really looking forward to seeing her again. And I even went out with two other first dates that week and liked her most.

I was never gushing or needy. That's not my style at all. But with the layoff of her going to a wedding, I wanted to show her I was still interested.

What did I do wrong?

It wasn’t like I hounded her the whole time. I’m not a big texter. I wondered if I should have tried a specific time, so tried that out on another woman I'd had a nice first date with. Didn't get too specific, just asked her if she was free to do something the next night. She never got back either. Both women claimed over text they wanted a second date, but then washed out when it came time to do it.

Any suggestions?

Should I have tried to kiss the first one?
