28 year old dude living in LA. A few dates I’ve been on recently went south and I feel like it’s because weed got involved. I smoke about once per week so not a giant stoner but I really enjoy it and find that I have deep conversations with people when we’re both high. Recently I went on 2-3 dates with girls that are bigger stoners than me (smoke every night) so I thought it’d be a good idea to bring a joint and walk around somewhere pretty with them and smoke. But both times it kinda made me overly analytical about the date, overthink making a move to kiss them or not, and turned it from a romantic vibe into a friendly vibe.

What do y’all think of weed and dates? I think from this point on I’ll try to stick with alcohol on early dates, and only once we’ve hooked up and the pressure is off, then bring out the weed.
