Anything that I'm writing is my personal point of view on some often discussed topics based on my experience, so if i'm wrong, (I could be, maybe I was dating with stupid girls) I will be glad if you will change my mindset.

So, I think that the "tips" people are giving in this community are only valuable for guys in the USA or maybe other very modern (?) (Its hard to explaine properly what I mean by this but I hope that you will get the point) countries. I'm talking about this whole cold aproaching, talking to random girls on a street, getting their numbers etc. I see that in the USA the culture of small talk is very diffrent than in my country. I mean: in America people talks with strangers very often (and I don't mean flirting), asking them how is their day, maybe sometimes they will praise your outfit - doesn't matter, they have a mindset that talking to strangers is totally common thing and it happens everyday for everyone. You are even saying "hi" or "you" to completly strangers in almost every age and every situation, those phrases in my country will be insulting or, in best case, weird if you are not a young teenager or talking to a kid. And by writing this I don't mean that saying "hi" to the girl you have crush on is wrong but people in western countries are more accustomed (?) with small talk on a street, you have more friendly approach to that. In my country nobody talks to strangers on the street, if so they have a serious problem with something and they cannot solve it by themselves but randoms are trying not to talk to others at all costs (I know that sounds weird but it happens). So cold approaching is even more weird to me (I'm trying to change my mind but its so hard; d) and others then in western countries. Even most of my friends (men, girls would have even worse opinion on that matter for sure) are saying that approaching a random girl on a street and asking for her number is creepy / weird / cringy. On one big community group on facebook there was a poll about "would you date a random handsome / beautifull boy / girl who met you on the street" (I don't remember exactly what was the name of the poll but I hope you got the point) and 90% girls choose "no" and they said that approaching a random person in public and asking for her number is creepy af. OK I'm a shy person but even for me (I'm a guy) this is weird way to find someone - if a girl who is very beautiful for me would came to me and starting flirting or talking to me randomly on a street in a way that you could find out that she is interested to date me I would feel so weird and probably I would think "what prank is this and where is hidden camera". Don't get me wrong I think that I'm quite handsome guy, I have a lot of matches on Tinder, I see very rarely someone as handsome as I or more on a street but even tho I've never heard that a girl would go to you and pick you up (?). So even for me, as a man, its very weird this whole idea of "cold approach" and I think in east (maybe whole EU?) Europe its even weirder / creepier / cringier to do it.

The next topic is very often "tip" reapeated here is "girls usually attach little importance to appearance of their boyfriend (unlike boys to their girlfiends) so you shouldn't be worried of that much" - its total bullshit. I can tell you my ex were talking of looks of people that they know all the time - that someoone has ugly face, that someone is too short for them, about his bad outfit etc ALL THE TIME. I'm not talking about every-single-girl, maybe those more conservative (?), shy and not that dynamic are diffrent but I would suggest you to do not fool yourself in that case.

Maybe its just my wrong feelings and irl is completely different - if so please change my mind
