Hey seddit! Ive been a lurker to this sub and seeing all the posts here over the past few months have landed me a couple of dates and introduced me to a lot of girls, so before I begin I would like to thank you all.

So there's this girl that I met over a month ago that I've gotten her number and texted her a bit then asked her out for a quick coffee meetup. It didn't last long it was around an hour or two which is totally fine by me. We talked through the entire thing, it was really fun for me and her. When we came to a close she said it was nice meeting you and ended with a hug. I texted her later that day saying that I really enjoyed it and that we should meet up again soon and she said the same.

I didn't really text her that much after that period because I got really busy with work and stuff but she texted me 2 weeks ago asking if I'd like to meet up with her and I said yea sure let's meet on X day. She said she had plans on that day so she instead said let's meet on Y day. A day before day Y I texted her to confirm the place and time of us meeting and she responded to me saying "yea I was just asking my friend (mutual friend of me and her) could make it tomorrow." It was weird because I thought it was gonna be just the both of us, but I said she's welcome if she wants to come (I don't really mind her joining us). She then later on texted me saying she can't make it because her friend can't make it, I told her lets meet up just me and you then. She said that she has to help her out with something ( that something is why her friend couldn't make it in the first place). I proceed to tell her ok, maybe some other time. On day Y (the day we were supposed to meet) I posted a story on my snapchat and it was me outside with a couple of friends and she asked where I was , so I replied and she said looks like you're having fun and I left it at that.

Does anyone have an explanation on why that happened? She didn't even say sorry or even show that she's sorry, she just gave the excuse and that's it. She was also the one to arrange the meeting up date, not me, then later on flakes on me.

Also, how should I move from there?
