I live in Austin and most people aren't from here. Being a native is HV.

Does anyone else use this line?

"Welcome to my city/ what brings you to my city"

I like it. It creates a playful/tease frame. But can be dangerous and devolve in to combativeness.

What would be a good response if you get a little pushback. Like "your city, this is my city"

I was thinking, "if you play your cards right, it can be our city" or something to build from like that.

Thoughts?
