For some reason, I can never get second dates with women.

My hypothesis is that they didn't like me/are not interested to begin with, and they only went on the first date for something new or for free food.

Considering that most of my first dates are random women I've met on the street, my hypothesis may be correct.

Maybe I am boring, maybe I don't bring enough value to the table, maybe it has to do with my physical stature...but if they agreed to a first date, it's hard to take things personally.

A woman at work said the same thing: that it is hard setting up the second date. For some reason, between the first and second date is where a lot of flaking occurs.

So sedditors, how do you go from first to second date?

edit: I used to go in for the kiss on the first date, but now I stopped doing that. In the beginning, I had these elaborate dates where we would sit one place, chat, then sit at another place and I would go in for the kiss at the second shift in location. All of these first dates were coffee dates or froyo dates. I am a college student, so my budget is limited. Some of the dates were at a bar. The women I'd go on a date with were random women I'd hit on during my regular commute or morning run. When I got their number, I'd text them immediately asking for a first date. I didn't even leave room for text chatter. Also, the second date invite would be immediately after the first date and would be somewhere boring, like a museum. Or it would be the same thing again because I ran out of ideas of places to go.
