What I used to do was go to the grocery store. The girl in this story was on exchange and was only in country for 3 months and I ended up dating for 3 months. On our first date I took to the grocery store so we could buy frozen pizza before going to watch netflix and she started laughing and said "for our 1st date you are taking me grocery shopping!" So I said to her "well of course at best we have 3 months together, due to a lack of time I am moving things between us forwards to domestic couple." then she gave me a "mmhmmm" so I said I took her hand and asked "don't you find it nice to do everyday things but with someone else, I think it's kind of... cosy."

That one went down well would recommend.

Museum or other location of interest. Depending on her type you can go to a classical museum or something with a little more interaction.

A lot of animal sanctuaries where animals have been rescued from factory farms are open to the public and are usually free or just ask for a small donation - there’s one in my home town where you get to hang out with lamas and goats and rub pigs bellies and chill with cows and ducks and chickens and it’s awesome as fuck.

Otherwise art galleries, museums, open mic nights, markets (fun to just hang out in and browse stuff), going to the beach or going on bush/trail walks (depends where you live though I guess) and doing fitness (like running or cycling/bike riding) is often always free. Picnics are good too :)
