Usually you are the one to make it fun. See my post on flirting. It dont really matter where you go as long as you can logistically escalate.

If your verbals are weak, you can do more distracting dates like the arcade, rock climbing, bowling. I've even brought girls rooftopping, but thats dangerous and you should know what you are doing.
