A few weeks ago I went to a local concert in town, my friend didn't want to come so I did not have a wingman. I listened to the first band that played and after their set was finished I wandered around to find someone that I knew. So I walk around this sea of people run into no one then I go back to the spot where I was standing and an old co worker surprises me and says "HEY! You probably don't remember me!" and I say "OH HELLO KATIE" and gave her a hug. I haven't seen her since November, and we started talking about what we've been up to, and she tells me that her boyfriend just broke up with her and how she went to Portland for a while and now shes back here. Then I tell her how I'm here by myself because my friend bailed on me, and she says "I'll catch you later I'm going to get a drink" and I said "sure". I tired my best to keep eye contact, and I looked down at her because she was wearing a pin that caught my eye.

Then the second band went up and played and after their set was over I went to find her again and asked her "Can I hang around with you?" and she said sure, so we chat more and I noticed her tattoo and I poked it, then she and her friend told me "I'm going to find my other friends i'll cya later"

now the headliner is on and by the time i know it the concert is over and I leave and I was sitting on a bench and she walked by me telling me "I'll see you around!"

fuck me i didn't get her number, What could I have done better? Or even better how could I have struck a conversation with some random girl next to me?
