I'm no pro at game, I'm just another guy navigating the day to day bullshit like everyone else.
When I first decided to get into the game of seduction, I was a nervous little shit that over-analyzed every action, reaction and motion. I had a mental script of how a pick up should go, what gaming girls was like, and all the rest of it. This was a serious problem, but I didn't realize it at first. Whenever a girl showed little interest I took it personally. I brooded over my failures. I thought conversation had to go perfectly, and that there was no room for error in getting numbers and talking to girls.
During this era of my game, I refer to it as the blunder months, I was fucking everything up all the time. I'm sure anyone watching cringed so hard their faces imploded. At about month 3, I was reading all the material I could find. Anything, everything, whatever I could get. I tried a lot of it out, with little success. Since the "PUA" community has come into the spotlight, most girls can easily spot a noob at gaming. I tried routines that others had spent time perfecting, but it was never natural to me. I began to realize I needed my own style, not a canned routine developed by someone else.
One night at my best friend's birthday party, I stumbled onto a key part of finding my own way to do well with girls; I stopped giving a fuck. I was hammered, and without realizing it I hit gold. I wasn't actively pursuing girls, I was just having a great time with my good buddy and sending out happy vibes. Holy shit guys, that was magic. I'd found the key ingredient for success. I was just having fun with the girls that were at the party. This one girl, a peruvian (hot damn she was a freak in bed!) really dug that happy carefree vibe. I was feeling really good, and just went right up to her after chatting with another group of people and said "Hey you're my new best friend. Smile for the camera!" I snapped some terrible photographs all out of focus, said something about us being models, and put my arm around her and brought her to a table to play "hockey" (it's a drinking game where you and a few people spin a quarter, then whoever spun it calls a name and the named person flicks the quarter at somebody's cup. You get the idea) and her and I kept getting netted. At this point my beer goggles were set to maximum retard, but somehow this chick was digging it. We walked into the pool room and started making out, feeling each other up, and it got kinky fast.
The next morning I woke up with this beautiful Peruvian exchange student next to me with a vague memory of what happened. My thoughts were probably along the lines of OH MY GOD HOW THE FUCKING SHIT DID I DO THAT WHAT THE FUCK OH MY GOD HOLY ASS WE HAD SEX AND SHIT. I was shocked. How?!? I NEVER scored with girls like this. Later that morning my best friend walked into the kitchen and just went "Duuuuuuuuuuude! You were killin' it last night! Everyone fucking loved you! That was so much fun!"
That night, I reflected hard. Somehow, I won. That was my breakthrough. I felt like a shitty high school band that somehow made a hit summer single. At the time, I deduced a few things from that night that helped me get with that girl. I wasn't actively trying to win her over, I was just having fun. I was projecting my fun and good times and other people were catching and riding that vibe. In those moments, I was invincible. that's it, just have a good time. It doesn't matter what other people think. It hit me so suddenly and abruptly. I felt like an idiot for not realizing it sooner.
Over the next few months, I honed in on that carefree lets just have a good time vibe. It was hugely successful, compared to what I'd been doing before. Not only did I make a lot more friends, I met tons of girls. I didn't sleep with that many, but walking around campus I was always saying hello to ladies I'd met the night before, sitting at lunch with them shooting the shit, just living. I went hard into the nightlife scene, because it was the easiest avenue for me. I learned how to throw awesome parties and socialize with just about anyone comfortably.
Learning how to make other people feel welcome and right at home was the next thing I picked up. This made having a good time for everyone around me possible. At my off campus apartment parties, I greeted everyone, welcomed them in and told them to be at home. Whenever I saw someone standing alone or chilling out away from the crowd, I went over and talked to them. It was amazing to talk to all these people. So many of them were open about their insecurities, being judged for not doing this or that, the usual shit people stress over. I realized that everyone, even the guy with 3 girls latched onto him while he's playing beer pong, worries. This was a powerful realization. If I projected this worry free lets capture the moment character, girls latched onto that. I faked it at first, but eventually it became the real me.
When I realized this worry free attitude as part of my character, I was the go to guy in my social group. After a few more weeks of this, I was getting other people (especially girls) to break free of care for the night, and holy shit was that gold. They loved it. This rejected earlier material I'd read about "social qualification" and other pick up bullshit. Nobody wants to deal with an asshole that's going to neg, play mind games and fuck around. When I looked back on it, I came to the conclusion that most of what I'd previously read was utter shit. Fucking weak shit. The whole alpha/beta, having to always be "high value" to get girls, all of it was shitty.
Just being a good person and living my life to maximum potential was my recipe for success. After getting good at night life, I wondered more about other places, like classrooms, coffee shops, malls, you get the idea. I applied what I had learned to these settings. Daygame turned out to be a lot different that I'd expected. Since I was no longer a fumbling fuck up, the scenarios were much more open to me. When I did get rejected, which happens a lot whether you are a god at seduction or suck, I adopted the policy of "just smile and wave." I no longer took it personally when a girl let me down, I didn't change tones or look visibly upset. I didn't care if she said no. That was my secret weapon. If I saw that same girl around campus later, I never avoided eye contact or looked down. I Smiled and waved, and gave her an enthusiastic hello, or a situation specific reference. It was never spiteful, and not another attempt to get with her/get her number. It was a gesture of 'hey, this isn't awkward, don't feel bad, because I honestly don't mind. I'm the same cheerful bastard I've always been, and I'll have a good time regardless of what happens.'
That pretty much brings us to the present. Right now, I'm just focused on being a great person who is always out doing something. This last year became more about just improving myself as a person. That's really what it comes down to. Be the best you there is, and help other people be the best version of themselves they can be. Stay carefree and take some risks lads. Best of luck.
