Hey guys, this is going to be a long post so buckle up! For the better part of my life I had trouble getting a girl. I was always getting too attached, too invested in the girl, I was getting needy. I think the roots to that neediness is in my childhood. My parents were overprotective, they always tried to control me as much as possible, I didn't learn to ride a bike until I was 12, who the fuck is that scared to teach his kid to ride a bike. Anyways back to the point.

So I was texting this girl, let's call her Emma. I invited her to go out and she agreed. I was so excited for the date because honestly she was hot. So we went on the date and it went very well, after the date ended I kissed her and I said I'll call you tomorrow, well tomorrow came and I called her and we went on the second date. This time we ended up at her place making out, I thought great this is it, but she said we were moving too fast, so I went home. The following week I got needy and attached to her, I was texting her everyday, I was rescheduling the things I needed to do in order to hang out with her, as the days went by she became more cold and distant. Eventually hitting me up with the dreadful "let's be friends". 2 days later I find out she was fucking a local playboy. No biggie I thought to myself just stop making these dumb mistakes.

Recently I met this girl, lets name her Sarah, this time instead a coffee date, we had a few drinks. After the date ended I didn't kiss her, even though I wanted to do it badly, I didn't even say I'll call you, just said have a good night and we went our separate ways. The next day as much as I wanted to call or text her I refrained myself and said I will play it cool this time. 3 days after the first date I sent her a direct on Instagram from my friend's dog. She replied to this "what a cute dog", then we talked a bit and I invited her to come with me and some friends of mine to the park where we sometimes hang out at night and have some beers. She came with 2 friends of hers so we all had a good time, I walked her home and we only made out outside her house, I went home and again as much as my heart was telling me to text her immediately and set up another date, as much as I wanted to hang out with her more I again refrained myself because I didn't want to be friendzoned again. 2 days later she texted me what I was up to, I was actually busy because I had a big assignment due, I said that I was working on something and she said that's too bad because she wanted to hang out. If i didn't get friendzoned by the last girl, I would throw the assignment away and go hang out with her. I told her that I am busy right now and we can do something on Sunday, she agreed. We went out at and at the end I told her it's still early, let's go back to my place and watch a movie, to my surprise she agreed. We finally hooked up.

What I realized is that by constantly texting a girl you just went out with, by constantly seeking attention you come off as desperate and frankly its telling the girl that you have nothing going out in your life. The mistake I made with girl 1(Emma) was that I got attached too quick, I bombarded her with texts, only to receive 2-3 words replies and of course that ends up in the friendzone. For the second girl even though my inner-self was telling me to text her as much as possible, to give her as much attention as possible, to avoid my priorities, I fought it and tried to seem as cool as I can. I know, I know some of you will say that it is just a temporal fix, but I am working on it, so many people on here said that you need to put YOURSELF first and they are all right. How would a girl take me seriously if all I do is putting my time and effort in her, while doing nothing for myself. I can't wait to actually change from a needy guy with nothing better to do than praising woman, to a man who has priorities straight and actually lives his life to the fullest. Thanks for reading guys, stay safe.
