Now, this is a 100% true story. Take it for what is worth.

I got a job years back and a lady around my age (mid-30s) was the HR chick who onboarded me. We spent about 2 hours alone in the room with a projector and she told me all the boring details about the company.

Now here is where it gets weird. I was wearing a very expensive suit. As we walked, and she showed me around, her hand WAS ON MY BACK. I thought that was fucking weird, I went out with girls and didn't touch them for weeks!!!! AND THIS IS THE HR LADY! Her hand went from my lower to upper back. I was a bit creeped out by it(but I'm not socially calibrated, much less back then) . Also, I know she was married too. Of course she knew my marital status, she asked me twice in the onboarding (that has to be known for various official reasons once you get the job).

How do you interpret this? It was done many times. It was like she was leading me with her hand but she would move it up and down. What if I did that to a woman at work? Appropriate?
