Personally, I'm not really a fan of going to a club. I'd much rather prefer a bar over club. But last weekend, the bar I was at was so terrible that I had to go to a club nearby. Indeed, it all made sense now why that bar was so bad cuz all of the beauties were there! I found these 3 college girls coming on to the dancefloor. One of them saw me and pointed at my clothes saying "Oooh, Michigan State!" I wore my college clothes on that night on purpose in hopes of someone picks up on it. And someone INDEED picked up on it. I told her "How do you know Michigan State"? maybe she didn't hear me, no response (Because maybe music was so loud) so I switched my question quickly to "So, where are you from?" She said she's from Spain. All of sudden I got speechless, I could've said "Como Estas?" or some things like that but I paused because I didn't have anything to say at that time and also I thought we were right in the middle of dancefloor so she wouldn't like having a long conversation. Hell, even I felt like I shouldn't talk so much. So I paused for like 3 seconds and her 2 friends drags her to the corner of the dancefloor and I figured I would look needy if I'd chase her. At that time, I thought instead of chasing her, I needed to show that I'm not a weirdo, so I gotta prove my social proof so I went back to German guy I was talking to earlier. And it turned out this guy didn't even know the right timing to apporach a girl. He tried to talk to one of those 3 girls, and the girls just ran away. At this point, I thought it would be even more silly to come follow that Spanish girl so even though I didn't screw it up myself, I gave up on her. That's my story and I have some questions based on that story of mine.

  1. People say social proof is important at the place like bar and club. But if those people happen to be losers. Is the social proof still a plus?

  2. What should I have said to that Spanish girl who was about to move on to the corner of the dancefloor? Should I have taken a risk and chased her?
