When you're likely to run into a target again, does abundance principle dictate that you don't ask for phone#, or better to show interest by getting #?

Obviously the answer will change whether you're with a girl 5 minutes or 5 hours, but generally speaking does the community think not asking for a number shows abundance (and is this an ideal move when you're likely to see a target again)?
