You talked about your major, home town, and how long you danced. That's technically boring. You need to show them that you're interested. You need to bring up something interesting they can agree with and then you high five them. You need to get them to smile, flirt, and be different. Tell her her hand looks small and compare it to yours. Now her hand is touching your hand. There are so many things you can do. Avoid the common conversations.

First off, let me just explain how you should be treating the situation, from my viewpoint. If you signed up to the dance team just to pick up women, then I'm afraid it won't work. Most women will sense that you are really not that interested in the dances.

Now, if you enrolled because you are genuinely interested, then you will come to more classes, and you will meet those women again. So, asking straight away for their number in the first class makes them think you just came there to pick them up. Focus on the long run, befriending them and inevitable you will have some that will be interested in you.

However, at the end, I said “It was nice meeting you! Hope to see you again!

You should have left at that, you will meet them next time..

Now, it is possible to score numbers on your first class, but you need solid game, you need to let them know you are fun and enthusiastic about the dances and that you can bring some value to their lives. You also need to be aware of any of those women were interested in you, instead of just asking a random women for her number.

You talked about yourself. Ask questions my man!! Find out about them. Tease them. Who cares right now about you wanting to work on your dance moves. Irrelevant. Most people go their whole lives having to listen to other people's stories. I have enormous success when a girl tries to ask about me, I say nope, tell me about you.

Note well: this only works if you actually give a shit about what the woman is saying. If you don't care then this approach will not work and you will be spotted a mile away.

Treat the world as interactions. Boys, girls, whatever. Likeable interesting people are looking for experiences. I'm not saying you need to sleep with guys and girls I am only interested in sleeping with girls BUT I am very interested in learning about people and meeting people.
