Its the balance. Showing you care but also not taking any bullshit. Be firm but fun I guess. You dont have to be a dick.. although I use sarcasm all the time it's just my personality. You don't have to be cold all the time. If they seem distant, pull back, if they are constantly touching you and wanting affection, do it. If you feel in your gut you're doing too much, then pull back. Keep em guessing and wondering. You're fucked if you are too predictable

Hmmm I would say that being needy isn’t just showing too much interest and pursuing but has more to do with how you react when you can’t see them. Are you feeling frustrated if you can’t find a time to see them? Even if you don’t think you’re showing this frustration, you may be.

Seeking validation comes off as needy. Be inclusive and show them you wanna share your time and thoughtful but when you do it to get validation is where you mess up.

That’s where a rational approach is limited. To know where the balance is, you need to... feel it. You need to sense if the person is slightly pulling or slightly pushing. It’s like a dance, it’s like a first kiss.

In order to feel that, you need to connect to your feminine energy, your ability to be in the moment, to not have expectations, to empathize, to welcome yourself and the other person. If you have intentions, if you want things to be in a certain way (masculine energy) that will disturb your ability to feel the present moment and act out of intuition and authenticity.

Basically, you already know what is right, you have all the information inside you. You need to allow yourself to receive that signal.

Its great that you are reflecting on what you did wrong in each relationship where you got dumped, but there are probably more reasons for the breakups than just the swinging pendulum of neediness<----->Cold/indifferent.

Don't focus so much on what they want, but more on what they respond to.

I think that you can and should show girls that you care about them, but it should be done either spontaneously, or as a response to a positive interaction, not a negative one. For example, You have a big fight with a girl, or she is ignoring you, and next day you buy flowers or make her dinner to try to win her back. This comes off as needy.
