Why is it so looked down upon if you are a single guy? Is it not possible to be happy alone?

You could be extremely talented, creative and smart, even appear to be happy being by yourself, but when people hear that you're single they look down on you. Almost instantly too. It's like everyone is expected to find someone, and nothing else is like that.

You know?

You could have a shit car. Its all good.

You could have a shit job. It's all good.

You could LOOK LIKE SHIT. Its all good.

As long as you find someone else. Its all good.

I don't fucking get why its the only thing that really seems to matter.

EDIT. Let me clarify because everyone is getting this confused. I want to know why it is important for other people that I get a girlfriend. Why do they have to expect that of me when I am good on my own.

Stop telling me that I don't need a gf, I fucking know that. But why does everyone think I should have one?
