What do you think about trying to get with women who are in a relationship?

I sort of dated a girl, but she has moved back home and is with her on/off boyfriend. I tried to let it go when she left my area, but she will message me half the time I post a story to Instagram. She even did it when I didn't reply for a long time, asking questions regarding my posts and whatnot.

Yeah, maybe we're just friends, but it seems sort of unfaithful to stay in contact with a guy who was clearly into you, months/years later, no?

How would you go about it, if you were still interested in her? Back away until they break up? Engage as usual and act like the boyfriend isn't even a thing?

I think she likes the attention, so I am probably being strung along. At the same time, she hasn't backed down from me when she could have, and she may not be 100% invested in her current relationship.

This post got sort of specific to my scenario, but feel free to share your own. To be honest? I'm feeling a bit down because I just saw that she has been back with her bf, as I've been trying to play it light and barely respond to her on IG over the last year or so, so I was sort of oblivious. I know abundance mentality is important, but it can be difficult.
