Well, if you are interested, make her laugh. If you are working the short lines, you may not have time to really put yourself out there, but make her laugh and if she comes in again, she will remember.

Talk about something that is identified from her purchase, but not directly related. Alcohol may be a sign of a party for example. Basically, small talk that you can make her talk about herself.

Last, be professional. If you have a long line and you aren't 100% sure you'll get the number, then just wish her well and MAKE DAMN SURE you got her name and use it! Holding up the line to get her number says that you don't put responsibility first. Not always a deal breaker, but frequently can be. Plus, it puts her on the spot if there are too many people and that isn't fair.

Odds are, she will be like most people and visit the store again and then you can show her you pay attention by remembering her name. If you made her laugh and feel comfortable the first time, she will remember and be far more open to giving you her number.

Also, do a good enough job and she week seek your register out just to see you again. This includes the person in front of her and behind her. She will see how you treat others.

Good luck, jobs like this don't really net to a lot of ladies, buy gives good practice and the occasional yes.

I work in grocery too. I will look for ioi's while im on the register and just use my seductive smile to open them up with a "did you find everything" "how's your day going" etc. little small talk just to open them up and get an interaction going. Sometimes you can get a name and even more concrete ioi's but i use register time to engage and spot potential targets. Often they'll move me from register and put me to replenish. Thats when its game on! I dont reccomend gaming at the register becausw there are always fixed cameras watching you and you dont want to upset a cockblocking customer who hates that you're flirting with the HB10 in front of them. So thats my strategy at work and i get laid!

i work at my campus gym and i sometimes joke like you cant come in, your rental has a scratch etc. I dont try to pick up anyone, just joke around with everyone.

Honestly I have been thinking of pickup on the job (security at______) so sometimes I will talk to the girls but most of the time I can since I have to keep my eyes on what is happening so no one gets hurt So minimal eye contact but i still manage to start talking to them and get a conversation going
