Honestly I'd thank them and make sure your behaviour is alpha and not be worried about it. They approached you because they thought you were physically appealing. How is that a problem? Just don't let it throw you off your game and get you into a "cute little boy" mindset and it's fine.

I get girls approaching me and calling me hot/cute/good looking, and while I can't claim to have done a scientific study, I'd say the specific adjective they choose really isn't a big deal in terms of where things went from there. They're fish jumping in the boat, don't look a gift horse in the mouth.

That shouldn't be emasculating. I got called adorable at work last night, but the girl was totally into me. It's an IOI regardless. Girls probably don't want to call you hot cause they don't want to seem like a slut.

I've had this happen many times and I usually respond with "tell me something I don't know" or "that makes two of us".

I believe there was a similar thread about this. If you're approached and called cute, you've got an upper hand. Like the other dude said, be a funny dominant man. Your confidence and attitude are what will make them think you're hot. They already think you're cute, so just work from there. Your hottness will spill out from within and they will realize it. The difference between cute and hot is the personality you convey. Sure, there will be physically hot men, but swag/power/resourcefulness/etc is what truly differentiates cute men from hot men, in female minds.

I've been in situations where women will call me cute, but then after some sort of display of dominance/sexuality (whether it be public or private), they switch to calling me hot. Sometimes, women use the terms interchangeably. Some women may even prefer using the term cute over the term hot. Understand where I'm going? You shouldn't give a fuck what they call you, as long as you're scoring :)
