I made an easy line for getting to know girls you meet at recurring weekly events if you just chatted with them briefly the last time you were there. Here it is:

"I didn't really take the time to ask you about yourself last time. Tell me about [Girl's name here]".

I think it's good because:

  • It's direct

  • If she refuses, that's a pretty strong indication of rejection, which means you're not wasting time on someone who's not interested in revealing who they are to you

  • If she agrees and she has a boyfriend, you can likely find out very quickly (just ask a leading question)

  • It can be used on literally every girl ever

I think it needs work because:

  • "Tell me about [name]" is hard to pull off without sounding creepy; you risk being overly familiar with someone you know nothing about

  • "take the time to ask you about yourself" is a fucking tonguetwister. I was thinking of "get to know you" to replace it, but it sounded creepy to me

Post your thoughts, seddit.

Update, current version of the line:

"We didn't get the chance to connect last time. Tell me about yourself."
