You're probably reading this because you want to know why I think pickup is probably the greatest skill any person can possibly learn. Well it's not really that big of a secret, and you probably know the answer already. Here it is:

Pickup teaches you how to be confident and have fun in terrifying situations.

The key to confidence is trusting yourself, and while learning pickup you will start to see slow, incremental results. You will begin to trust yourself to escalate, to open with wacky questions or comments, to say hi to someone who you think might never give you the time of day. You will become more confident the more you practice pickup and it will spill over into the rest of your life.

Eventually you will realize that one night stands with boring women has become boring, so you start to go after interesting women, only to find that they're looking for interesting people as well. So you go develop hobbies and passions that are interesting. You become a person with goals, ambition and identity. You become interesting as a result of pickup.

You then find yourself having fun doing the hobbies you took up to become interesting. You have fun talking about your hobbies with other people, and you enjoy listening to what other people do too. It stops being about girls at this point, you just want to get to know people in general. You have a happy fulfilling life full of friends of all ages and genders now, with tons of social circles and social proof anywhere you go.

The world becomes yours when you put an honest effort into pickup, because the core skill is one that will stick with you in life: The ability to trust yourself.
