14y together, 9y married. Had problems getting pregnant, was a week away from IVF embryonic implant.

For the whole of our marriage the simp I was I ensured she finished her studies (PhD) and that her hobby / sport is well funded (dressage). That she could see the world, that she could live a more than decent lifestyle.

Then on 22 February I've been told she is not going to be a mother nor does she see a future with me. Either I choose her or children.

We have 3 viable embryos in storage.

We've been staying on as awkward housemates since.

I'll be turning 40 in June. Today I've helped shopping for a car for herself. Next up is a place to rent for her.

Most of the assets are kept in businesses so it would be an extraordinary expensive exercise for her to sue me out of it. She has no income as she spends her waking hours and money basically driving after and riding horses. She has a (seasonal) small business that makes 10% to 20% of my business' income.

All this makes negotiating easy. Props to her, she is not malicious in handling the situation.

Looking forward that this toxic situation can end. I was heartbroken. Now I'm looking forward to the end.
