Haha that is so well put. It really irks me when I see self-described feminists glorifying FWB scenarios with guys they otherwise are not compatible with. The way I've seen it justified is, well the guy is immature/unambitious/lacks basic empathy and hygiene so I don't need to risk developing feelings, but he is hot so I get let him use me every so often to scratch an itch.

To me that attitude just boggles my mind. That is how I may imagine my dog's mentality when she sees a hot Doberman at the dog park and goes over to sniff him. But as human beings with higher intellect and complex feelings, how can you have this same attitude??? Do you really want to debase yourself to the human equivalent of a bitch in heat? Would it not be much better to only allow yourself to be most vulnerable with a man who is somebody you admire and have a connection with, someone kind and intelligent with whom you have a good rapport and solid trust. The idea of debasing myself like an animal seems nothing but repulsive to me.

Indeed. It's so degrading. You need to know your worth. The guy can even be nice and kind but not want a relationship and you can always catch feelings then you are the own with the clown makeup.

Thank you for this. I felt used and taken advantage of last night by someone who doesn't respect me. I know that I allowed the situation to happen even though what was done to me wasn't my fault. I will NEVER allow someone to even have the opportunity to do that again.

I have one in my rotation that cooks for me and I don’t do a damn thing. My ex was the same too and I never cooked. I admit I also miss that food more than the relationship.
