On the one hand, the author genuinely seems to believe in listening to boys, be empathic and patient with them. On the other hand, his assumption is: boys essentially have to get rid of 'toxic masculinity' and stop harassing girls - he mentions #metoo all the time, though being very vague about what it has to do with the behavior of young boys. Imho whatever your intentions are, you cannot really raise boys with an open mind if those are your convictions. What is this, a step in the right direction or totally astray?
