Feminist manipulation : Make a post asking if rape should be considered as terrorism. People (mostly feminists) say no and post the result with "we need feminism because" implying people dont consider rape a crime while they only reject her absurd categories.

Makes sense. While women are underrepresented in some subfields of STEM, like engineering, in other subfields like biology and medicine they are overrepresented and men are underrepresented. Overall, more women earn undergraduate STEM degrees now than men. So women only STEM programs are actually making an existing inequality worse.

“Men’s rights advocates, frankly, have felt emboldened by the Trump administration to file and to keep filing these complaints,” said Patel, the NWLC’s director of justice for student survivors and senior counsel.

If that's at least one unarguably good thing that comes out of Trump Administration, I'll take it.

I have a question: why is STEM considered a sexist "boy's only club" when other subfields like biology are over-represented by girls?

Pretty sure engineering isn't the only science where girls were initially prevented to access.

Dude. Women were never prevented education in modern western civilisation, and even before that, it was more a problem of class as only the 1% could get one children into studies and they would not choose to discard their son Future while their daughters did not need to prove themselves as able to produce wealth to marry in an other wealthy family and keep their level of life.

The feminsit rhetoric viewing wome as being historically always opressed by men is a orwellian revisionist past made to justify curent discriminations.

Out of courtesy, can you cite most of your assertions?

Sorry, but when it comes to women's history, I have to take everything with a grain of salt.

Thats a great ethic.

With minimal proof necessary to avoid a lengthy debate, i'll say that the presence of women shoolar in the middle age prove that women were not prevented from education.

If you don't mind, what examples of female scholars are there?

Catherine of Sienna, Hildegard of Bingen.

Marie curie

Contraception is only widely available since the 70s prior to that, becoming sexually active was leading to pregnancy and babies very quickly. If you add to this that giving birth is dangerous (life expectancy for women was way lower than for men due to pregnancies) and finally you can add that most women had many more kids; 6 was normal, more than 6 frequent. So around 16, very few men were send studying and women were married. It was a very bad investment to send a women to university as she would probably have kids very soon and from there spend 50% of her time unable to study or work outside the household. There was no hate toward women, just different genders roles dictated by basic biology. I read some of these things in various articles, the life expectancy is available online... then sometime you have to put things together yourself. One thing is sure though, the feminist narrative is false: - men suppress women’s achievements because misogyny - the patriarchy was a system intended to keep women submissive and under control, blocking them from studying Two very common narrative in feminists circles, problem is, they are perfectly incompatible.

Fun fact. Marie had a daughter who maried a scientist (not as famous as her, but a successfull one nonetheless). That scientist took his soupse name and was know as Jolio-Curie

I once read about history of one medical U in my country. in 50s the communists were actively discriminating the women from joining because they were majority of students and many either married and never practiced or took a long brake to take care of the kids. They eventually solved the problem with good system of kindergartens.

As for Skłodowska-Curie do note she had to emigrate to study in Paris because she couldn't in Warsaw.

Sounds like an awesome professor. If there's a program that helps students, then why not expand it to everyone who's interested, that way more students can get support.

I think the whole "women in ... " stuff is totally missing the point. They're trying to make the numbers look equal, instead of making sure that every person is treated equally, regardless of gender.
