Isolation kills again.

As someone who just turned 30, I guess that makes me one of the older guys now. That's kind of a sad thought: it's up to guys like me now, and I'm just barely hanging in there myself sometimes.

The social isolation and alienation among men today is a symptom of broader social forces beyond any one individual's control. Any suggestions on things we can do together to help?

Other than gun control I don't see what can be done. The US is the only country in the world with such extremely frequent shootings.

The issue for many of these young isolated dudes is that they are caught in a downward spiral and for many the only way to get them out of that spiral is for someone else to physically enter their lives and actually help them get a foot through the door.

And not everyone can be a mentor sadly.
