I disagree. As a healthy adult, you can be fully independent. In the early and late stages of life everyone is dependent on others. Sure, you can buy care with money, but having looked inside quite a few pensioner's homes, money will help you only so far.

I'm rather confused lately about what it means to be MGTOW. Many are saying MGTOW can and should marry as long as they understand female nature and hold their own so to speak. I know MGTOW isn't focused solely on women but what is supposed to separate us from TRP if we say MGTOW do whatever they want and can marry, cohabitate as long as they understand the concepts?

That was my understanding of it, seems many don't agree with that though. I'm sure that's the case but there was one guy I was having a discussion with who said he'd been MGTOW for a long time and basically said this sub has changed it's meaning more to be anti women. He said look at the sidebar and it mentions nothing about not getting married or female nature, etc. He told me to stop hating on women, which I don't, I don't want to deal with them, and he said I'm running and hiding and said MGTOW isn't about that, it's about being tough and doing what you want.
He basically said MGTOW is about being John Wayne, being a man's man. These are conflicting viewpoints so it left me utterly confused. I've followed Stardusk and Barbarossa for awhile and they say don't argue with feminists or care to be involved with women or their opinions but they also talk extensively about female nature and how this applies to MGTOW. If dealing with women has nothing to do with MGTOW than about 90% of what is talked about on this sub is out of place and 95% of what I read and learn on YouTube for example pertaining to MGTOW is wrong.
It just seems so many who claim to be MGTOW don't actually share the same core values. Sorry for the rant I just don't understand how many can say "going my own way" means nothing to do with women. These same people will listen to men talk about marriage being a bad decision but then say MGTOW can get married or live with a woman as long as they "have a backbone." The purpose of modern marriage is linked to divorce. Most women get married so they lock a provider down, and even if that relationship were to fail, the man would need to keep providing. In the west this is done via alimony and child support, while in certain countries it's done via dowries, houses and other means of "protection" for the woman.
If you assume no divorce, why would there be a legal contract? It makes no sense if the couple stays together for at least 20-30 years.
She gets to live on the property for 10 years after he dies, then chooses the sons that get to mate because they inherited property.

You also have to look at the baggage that comes with modern women. After years of slutting it up, they pretty much destroyed their pair bonding. The more men she sleeps with, the higher the % of divorce rate. Don’t forget that now, more women attend college than men, and more women getting useless degrees like art and women studies. Coming out with 30-100k in student loans with liberal men hating ideas taught by professors. The debt that women expect men to pay for. The debt that could have been used toward a house or car. So since higher risk for divorce..... you are looking at losing the house, the kids, expensive lawyer bills, alimony, half of your retirement, child support, etc. “these days seem to largely hurt men in your view”..... um its a fact. I see what you mean, and I agree to some extent, but keep in mind that I also agree with keeping most people bluepilled, because that's better overall. Just like in The Matrix, if everyone takes the red pill the system collapses.
So yes, I agree with keeping marriage going on, but personally I believe that for the man is not the best arrangement from a financial point of view.
On the other hand, if two people are really meant for each other they'll stay together even if unmarried. If not, they'll part ways just like when roommates do it.
And regarding children, it would be interesting to see some data for that. Are you sure that married couples with children are more likely to stay together than unmarried couples? This is probably true if you count accidental teen pregnancies, but not sure if that's the case for couples in their late 20s/early 30s. If you have some data for that though, it would be interesting to see.
