This is the girl who talked the boy into committing suicide. Having already been convicted and now wants the Supreme Court to over turn her conviction claiming free speech.

You picked up on that too huh?
She probably also said "I don't want to be in this situation right now"
[–]MGTOWlifer32 points33 points34 points 7 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
Too bad for her "free speech" only refers to speech, not calls to action which is what she did by urging the boyfriend to commit suicide. He'd likely still be alive if not for this bitch. Alls it would have taken was a quick 911 call
[–][deleted] 14 points15 points16 points 7 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
"Calls for violence" Pretty much a shut and closed case.
[–]Careful_Description5 points6 points7 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Is the technical/legal difference speech that directly results or intended to cause some action IRL?

Meanwhile, men catcalling women on the street is "rape"..... Logic in 2019...

I mean just the other day I saw a post a women made saying “I reported sexual harassment on all these construction workers to their boss because when I walked past them I could tell they were all staring at me but I didn’t make eye contact with any of them and no one said anything to me as I walked by”......

Context?

That's the twat who texted her boyfriend, or soyfriend egging him on to kill himself.
She got charged, can't remember if she's doing time though. Probably still in the appeals process somewhere.
[–]dcmathproof0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
She got convicted, and is on her (last?) appeal.

In all fairness i know this is MGTOW but this is more than your average manipulating woman.
She is more on the side of the field as Aileen Wuornos, Katherine Knight and a sprinkling of Myra Hindley.
[–]Belrick_NZ0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
she is pure psychopath. give her testosterone and she would of done her own dirty work
the manslaughter conviction was justified

Bad take. She didn't make him commit suicide, he chose to do that himself. You'll regret supporting this shit when men start getting tossed in jail for saying mean things to women.
Go ahead, downvote away. This isn't defending her because she's a woman, this is opposing putting people in jail for words and how badly that legal precedent will be abused.

[–]WolverineDLogan2 points3 points4 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
It's weird that sometimes an innocent person dies and the punishment is just a slap to the wrist compared to the fate of the victim
[–]Haywood_Jablomie42-5 points-4 points-3 points 7 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link
No, you're still pushing the bullshit that a person who wasn't even there is responsible for his actions. That's an insanely bad take. No one is responsible for your actions except for you.
[–]swansong195 points6 points7 points 7 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link
No, you're still pushing the bullshit that a person who wasn't even there is responsible for his actions
Tell that to Charles Manson. He played no direct roll in the Tate or LaBianca killings but...
Not that I'm disagreeing with your general premise but the precedent has already been set.
[–]AskMeAboutMyTie-1 points0 points1 point 7 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link
Lol that’s completely different. Manson ordered his “family” to kill those people. He was the ring leader and master mind. This dude killed himself. No one forced him to do it. He didn’t have to listen to this crazy bitch. I agree with 99% of the things on this sub, but not this. That man was a pussy for giving into the bitch. He could of walked away.
[–]swansong191 point2 points3 points 7 years ago* (3 children) | Copy Link
Manson ordered his “family” to kill those people
By that logic if this woman ordered him back into the car she's guilty
He didn’t have to listen to this crazy bitch
Manson's followers didn't have to listen to him.
[–]AskMeAboutMyTie0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
Manson’s followers didn’t have to listen to him.
Oh yes, they did. The reason Manson is held responsible is because he is a “person of power.” These people truly believed Manson was their Father and a God. In their hearts, they truly believed they had to follow him. Go watch their trial on YouTube. In the trial they are proud for what they did. They are proud that they followed Manson. In their hearts the believe they did good. Another example would be Hitler and the Nazis. Hitler didn’t do any of the mass murders, but he ordered his followers to carry out the evil acts. Would you compare this woman to Hitler?
The woman in the article is not a person of power. She didn’t order him back in the car. They were in a shitty relationship, and we’re having a nasty fight(I’m sure you’ve been in one yourself), and she said “just do it! Be a man and do it!” Then out of spite he said, “fine I will! I’ll show you! You’ll be sorry!” She had no power. He did it out of spite. He had all the power.
If I’m walking down the street and I see a guy at the top of a building about to jump, and I shout, “just do it already!” If he jumps I wouldn’t be held responsible. The only way another person can be held responsible for someone else’s suicide, is if the person committing suicide does it due to an act of violence or a hate crime committed against them.
For example, if a person kills themselves because a guy killed their whole family. The murder would be held responsible for the suicide.
I hope I’m not coming off as a dick here. I understand your logic and where you’re coming from, but unfortunately that’s just not how it works.
[–]AskMeAboutMyTie0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
No she’s not. She can’t force him to do anything by just using her words (at least in the eyes of the court).
However, if they had a kid. And she told the kid to get in the car and kill itself, she would be held responsible. She has total power over her own kid. The kid was just listening to his Mother, whom he has to obey.
Manson had power over his “family” because both Manson and the family admitted to Manson being their leader and God. If the family chose to disobey him, they would of been disowned by their “God.” The family truly believed with all their hearts that they had to obey. He was their God and their government. Weird shit, man.

Not there, but texting him continually. He said at one point said he didn't want to do it, and was trying to get out of the car (he was woozy) and she said 'get back in!' . How evil is that!? Someone trying to commit suicide has second thoughts, texts someone he thinks cares for him, and she tells him to die! On what planet is that a normal reply to someone who is wavering about killing themselves? Then she says she didn't mean it....what BS, she texted him for quite a long time, and hectored him. I'm sorry, people's defense of her just astounds me.
'You'll regret supporting this shit when men start getting tossed in jail for saying mean things to women.'
Anyone who tells someone who is having second thoughts about suicide to hurry up and die, there should be consequences. It's more than a mean thing to tell someone 'get back in that truck' when they tell you they want to not kill themselves. She was not prosecuted for 'saying mean things' but assisting a suicide-
' You can't think about it You just have to do it? You said you were gonna do it like I don't get why you arent'
'So I guess you aren't gonna do it then, all that for nothing'
Here is a LONG text of repetitive messages from him, ' really don't know what I'mwaiting for.. but I have everything lined upI ' about 30 times.
'No you're not Conrad. Last night was it. You keep pushing it off and you say you'll do it but u never do. Its always gonna be that way if u don't take action'
' You're just making it harder on yourself by pushing it off, you just have to do it'
On and on it goes, until she tells him, panicking now and trying to get out of the truck, 'get back in'.She explains her logic to a friend-
' In the message to Samantha Boardman, Carter said, “Sam his death is my fault like honestly I could have stopped him I was on the phone with him and he got out of the car because it was working and he got scared and I fucking told him to get back in.”
“Sam because I knew he would do it all over again the next day and I couldnt have him live the way he was living anymore I couldnt do it I wouldnt let him,” a part of the text said.'
It was too hard for her (boo-hoo) to have him give up and try another day. Calling the cops and an ambulance might have gotten him treatment.

I hate to agree with you cause this girl is a complete cunt but I do.
[–]Ice-Berg-Hermit7 points8 points9 points 7 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
So how did Charles Manson get in prison?
[–][deleted] 4 points5 points6 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Yes, thank you for bringing up Charlie
What say you soy's about that situation? What's that about precedent?
[–]attongirdeaux4 points5 points6 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Not all speech is "free". You cannot say "I am going to bash your head in" etc. She literally said "Come on kill yourself already" "Why arent you dead yet" etc. I forgot the exact text count but it went on for weeks and was well above 100s of texts. Speech that implicates you in a crime isnt covered by the first amendment.
[–][deleted] 5 points6 points7 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Urging someone to kill themselves and saying something mean to someone are two entirely different things. How many years of law school do you have?
[–]SirSips4 points5 points6 points 7 years ago* (5 children) | Copy Link
Its always good to view situations like this unbiased and with that being said I have to agree. Yeah she is an awful person that pushed him toward suicide but he never had to go through with it. Should have ghosted the bitch and moved on.
Edit: corrected spelling.
[–]viking_canuck1 point2 points3 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
He had all kinds of mental problems man... I agree no one is responsible for us but us, but shit man he was just a kid on antidepressants and who knows what else. That fucking cunt took advantage of him for her own little fun and games. She can fucking rot
[–]Haywood_Jablomie42-2 points-1 points0 points 7 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link
Unfortunately, a LOT of men just want to view it as "woman sucks, so she should go to jail". Yes, she's a cunt, but criminalizing speech and blaming her for HIS actions is pure bullshit and sets a horrible legal precedent. Any psycho bitch that you tell to fuck off can cut herself and blame you if "words are violence".
[–]SirSips0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
Looks like this post has became quite the debate.
I hate that you're getting down voted for mentioning a opposing opinion afterall MGTOW used to be about going your own way and forming your own opinions. Now I'm seeing more and more blind hate to the point of being a mob mentality.
[–]CthulhuHere0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
He's being downvoted not because he's going against the "mob mentality" but because he's defending a murderer.
Nowadays any sort of communication with a woman is more of a threat than not. If you have half a braincell you'd know that this generation is fucked enough already for this shit to be happening and for things you say to be entirely possible. She egged him on for a long enough time, whilst he seemingly had noone else to talk about it. You say that it's situational and that it's "Criminalizing speech" and "It's HIS actions" and "She's not responsible", and i say that given the circumstances, it's manslaughter for sure. She found a guy that was in a bad place in his life, and purposefully (if you read the articles) convinced him to end his life. If you think that's not murder, then i don't even know what to say.
[–]CdVrfl3 points4 points5 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
She actually said, multiple times, for him to kill himself. Afaik she even facilitated it.
[–][deleted] 3 points4 points5 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
This guy has some epic foresight. Just imagine cops showing up at your front door to arrest you for murder because you said something mean to some feminist and she killed herself.

if a man tells a young girl to touch live wires in order to electrocute ber. clear case of intent to harm.
telling an emotionally distraught/ disturbed man to touch live wires. also intent to harm.
telling him to instead get inside a car full of poisonous gas. nope. she was intending to kill him
the man's greater agency doesnt dismiss her intent.

[–]hellabad0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Plenty of people have said it but you should read the text messages. This was going on for a long time and he was looking for support from a close friend. The dude basically didn't want to kill himself but she told him to do it and go back to kill himself.

So if I set a trap in my house where an Axe swings down from a doorway and chops you in the face if you walk through that door. Then I encourage you to go ahead 'open the door'
Is that freedom of speech? After all i didn't swing the Axe and you didn't have to walk through the doorway.

Carter was convicted of involuntary manslaughter in June 2017 after a judge determined that her texts to Conrad Roy III persuaded him to kill himself.
Bristol County Juvenile Court Judge Lawrence Moniz sentenced Carter to 15 months in jail in August 2017, but he allowed her to remain free while she appealed her conviction.
In a ruling this month, the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court upheld Carter's conviction, saying the evidence showed that her conduct caused Roy's death by suicide.
15 MONTHS???
So determined to get her a not guilty, they even come out with a feminist-skewed documentary about her on HBO... his parents are to blame not her... wow https://www.imdb.com/title/tt9614090/
