Birthday party celebration, empathy, doing something nice for some unknown stranger, ¿What's the problem with that? I don’t think this belongs here I think the dude just has money to blow and decided to be nice. Maybe she reminded him of his daughter or something. If he had stuck around or left his number then maybe but he just left and she never even saw him sounds like a good dude to me.
