I know the topic of men showing emotions gets mentioned a fair bit on this sub but I thought I would chime in.

My ex constantly brought up that I never cry and that it’s somehow a bad thing. This is the same woman that cried at any- and everything slightly inconvenient, such as the time when I didn’t bring her home any KFC after I finished work.

Just to be clear, there is nothing wrong with crying, but for god’s sake save it for the actual tragic stuff. Our society (e.g. the media, reality shows, YouTube) seems to glorify crying over the most trivial of things and it’s raising a generation of men and women that have no control over their emotions. And we all know that women actually perceive men crying as a sign of weakness/submission, as has been discussed at great lengths on this sub already.
