Unlike the US, Australia has no constitutional protected rights. Our constitution is all about the powers and formation of the federal government, and only indirectly provides Australians with an implied freedom of political speech. Personal rights have been the subject of anti-discrimination laws, common law rights, and UN declarations (only if ratified by the government). Consequently, there has been a push for an Australian Human Right Act, to provide a clear declaration of human rights for all Australians, enforceable by law.

In light of this push, the Australian government has released the ‘Inquiry into Australia's Human Rights Framework’ (May 2024), report to parliament, which provides an overview of submissions to the government on the subject of a potential Australian Human Right Act, and within the terms of reference passed by the parliament of Australia.

Sadly, the report is a product of the entrenched culture of misandry that infests the Australian government, public service, academia and judiciary, and includes special consideration of every social group in the community, to the exclusion of ‘men and boys’. Citing the submission of the Victorian Human Rights Commissioner, the report recognised that ‘people may experience multi-layered and cumulative discrimination due to multiple attributes and social categorisation, such as age, sex, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, intersex status and ethnic origin or race. Ultimately, taking an intersectional approach means that, for example, the experience of ageism in employment will differ between men and women and may be compounded by another attribute such as race or LGBTIQ+ status. An intersectional approach would consider these factors and design the policies and programs that address the intersections without just considering the age aspect in isolation’ (Section 4.3, p31).

In other words, human rights must be viewed and implemented through legislative instruments, laws and policies, through a filter of intersectional theory, where the human rights of women experiencing agism, would be framed, protected and valued differently to the human rights of men experiencing agism.

The report includes an entire chapter devoted to ‘Human Rights’ Concerns’ and lists those special areas of concern as including the following classes of people: Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, refugees and asylum seekers, migrants and people from culturally and linguistically diverse communities, people with disability, carers, children and young people, older people, religious groups, LGBTIQA+ people, WOMEN, and prisoners (only women in prison). Missing from this extensive list is ‘men’.

Perhaps this focus on the human rights of women in preference to the human rights of men is most evident in the simple concatenation of the language used in the report. The word “men’ appears once in the entire report (that is the mention in the quote above), while the word women’ appears 30 times. The single reference to ‘men’ in the report relates to a diminution of the value of men’s human rights, while all the mentions of women relate to reasons for special attention being attributed to women’s human rights.

It is clear from the Inquiry into Australia's Human Rights Framework report that the human rights of Australian men and boys are not important, will not be protected, and will most likely be subordinated to the human rights of women, and any other social subgroup or intersectional identity. Australian men and boys who do not claim at least one other intersectional identity, will be subjected to laws that require them to stand aside for the benefit of others, provide for and protect the rights of others, without any expectation that they will entitled to similar provisions, protections or rights. The unambiguous message to Australian men and boys is that the Australian government considers them to be subhuman, unworthy of human rights, and the servants of all others.

This is exactly why mens orgs need to exist and need to ve far bigger than they are.

Its clear men and boys face gendered issues in crime ,abuse, exploitation etc.

It's obvious that we are seeing more and more laws not protecting specific demographics like males, white people, natives, Christians, Jews etc from discrimination in indtitutions as they are seen as oppressor groups.

This is clearly a pattern of ideological capture coming from the left (sociology, feminism, crt, trans ideology etc) all packed into state bodies and its fucking terrifying how fast its spreading.

Australia is in a shit state right now. Economy is fucked, everyone is unhappy and stressed, average people are having trouble affording food, let alone shelter.

This is a direct result of destroying the family model that propelled the western world to prosperity throughout the 20th century.

Things won't improve until we get shit back on track. Unfortunately those hurting the most, young people, have trouble understanding this en masse due to heavy indoctrination. They are now learning the hard way.
