Republicans and Democrats are conditioned to have strong in-group preference and out-group bias. Liberals are especially scornful of republican "shock" pundits like Rush Limbaugh or Ann Coulter. This is part of the reason that many people in the MRM advocate against politicizing the movement (the other reason being that neither party is good on men).

Honestly, this issue should be as dead as the "should the MRM be faith based or atheist" debate. It's toxic.

That said, props to Ann Coulter for defending falsely accused black men.

I'm one of those left wing male redditors. I think jolly_mcfats nails it down a bit here.

I don't think it's just that. It's just that that is a very small portion of Anne Coulter's "brand". If the main thing people knew about Anne Coulter was that she did stuff like that, her affiliation with her political alliance would be a much smaller factor. Instead, what most people know is outrageous stuff she's said while trying to insult the other "team".

Her outrageous, intentionally insulting and alienating approach to politicized issues has tainted anything associated with her name. The fruit here may be good. But the tree it fell from is poisoned.

You read Ann Coulter saying something like this, and the immediate response is skepticism. Because her past statements have created the precedent that this is an appropriate response to everything she says.

I suppose I should set the record straight that while the majority of the right wing are batshit looney, there are left wing people who are just as idiotic.

I'm a left leaning liberal but I have a burden of intelligence that allows me to see when things are wrong (such as the ever increasing wage gap that is completely idiotic) are wrong and things that are right (such as the idea that women should be subjugated to the same physical requirements as men to be in the military) should be right.

It's males who were raised by single mother feminists that end up being the ones that tend to think all males are rapists as well.
