No, feminism doesn't do that.

Men shouldn't be told that being kind to half the population is equivalent to being untrue to themselves. They should be taught to show love and respect for women. A man treating the opposite sex as his equal shouldn't be funny, it should be expected — for both genders' sake.

It implies that men don't love and respect women, which is offensive (or would be offensive to me if I considered feminism a respectable thing).

That took an immediate Christian-like turn. "Well, it's pretty clear that sexism affects both men and women. Therefore, feminism!"

I've seen the same thing with Christians debating. "Quantum theory is flawed in several aspects. Therefore, our loving savior Jesus Christ!"

That commercial just got a bit too pseudo-preachy near the end, and implied that all construction workers everywhere are raging misogynists when they're acting "themselves".

I'd say that stereotype is an unfair one, and one that Feminists themselves use when talking about the prevalence of "Rape Culture". Talking about how women are afraid to walk by construction sites because of the Toxic Masculinity pouring out from within.

So pray tell me why men therefore need Feminism to erase that stereotype? They seem more than fine with perpetuating it themselves.

To summarize the ad: female office workers walk past a construction site. Construction workers whistle to get their attention, but instead of shouting "nice tits, sweetheart" as one might expect, they shout out feminist boilerplate and you-go-girl slogans.

Part of what's funny about it is that many women are as repulsed by male feminists (who recite feminist slogans to get little hits of approval porn), as they are by cat-callers (who are at least transparent about using women to feel like bigger men) so it's funny to hear one group's words coming out of the other group's mouths.

I thought the commercial was quite funny. It's a very well constructed joke, even if the punchline is dark and mean-spirited.
