Let them have it. Send a letter to the Investor Relations department of the parent company, telling them why you won't be buying nor playing any more of their games or reading any more of their website articles.

Then stop buying their games and visiting their web sites.

When their stocks start to plunge, they will connect the dots and act accordingly, or they will fail as a business.

The game industry is dysfunctional and always has been. This is just the most recent, most public symptom of that dysfunction.

On seeing Quinn's threats I recall a phone call from a few years back. A friend who worked at the same studio handed me a phone saying that the person on the other end was someone who knew me from a previous studio. They didn't mention the person name, but it was clear from the background noise that he was somewhere very public and probably drunk. So of course I asked who I was speaking to, only to be met with angry accusations of being a 'fake'. Still without a context I tried to find out who this person was and got the ever impressive answer "Do you know who I am?" which I had to answer "No". After a few attempts to explain the situation the conversation ends with several "I could have you sacked" and "No. You can't. No, you really can't".

I still have no idea who that person was but the parallel is perfect. I can guarantee that person had no ability to make games, but they had a job title, an office and a salary. Their attitude is just like Zoe Quinn's: as self important and devoid of talent, insular and without self perception.

They tried to hijack the atheist community (they did a little damage but they are basically dead in the water) but they failed because that community is loaded with intelligent people and critical thinkers. The games industry, not so much. This one, they may actually succeed at.

If they get their way, all protagonists will be female, they will never suffer at all, they will be dressed like normal people (something I'd actually support) and all the villains and regular enemies would be male.

Think I'm joking? Think harder.

Zoe Quinn is probably the least important part of this whole debacle. She has been exposed, discredited and humiliated to death. We should forget about her and tackle the real problem, which is, the glorified bloggers that call themselves gaming "journalists" that are into so much shit that would put the Doritosgate to shame.

One day, this sub will learn to link to sources that don't undermine reasonable arguments. I see sites like Redstate, Breitbart and Reason getting posted here, despite being widely renowned for being sensationalist and atrocious publications. All you're doing is undermining yourself.

Honestly, I believe they took over the gaming industry because it's a bunch of geeks and nerds.

But think about it, a bunch of passive geeks and nerds: normally freak out and become socially awkward around female presence. Even in the gaming realms you have the different personalities, but still, the character traits of kinda passive and love to hide behind the anonymity still exist. So when a bunch of "feminists" start infiltrating the gaming realms, who's to tell them to fuck off with their bullshit? No one! It's a female, they don't know how to either tell them fuck off with their bullshit or they have the hopes of white knighting so hardcore that they'll win the trophy prize of a "gamer chick" and marry them, and play video games all day, and live happily ever after, the end... yeah, right.

It seems these "feminists" picked on indoctrinating the geeks and nerds because those same geeks/nerds don't know any better. And who in their right mind would stop the "feminists"? Piece by piece, more discussion came into the field of female gamers, of being politically correct, of this slow drip of "feminist ideology".

My biggest criticism is why in the fuck is there social science theory discussions at goddamn video game conventions? Who in their right fucking mind is going to go to a panel on feminist thought/the "complete mis-suh-geny-ee" of the gaming industry? This, at a convention where one would realistically pay a huge sum of money for a hotel and convention pass when the original plant is to go and learn about the latest video games and coming books and other related items.

They are goddamn bullies for the people who are gamers. For me, gaming was a space from all of the bullshit I dealt with in grade school. It's what my friends did together, and it's what passed my time. We were bullied, and video games was our way to deal with the shit. Although it's a broad generalization, it's more likely than not that others played video games for the same reason. So the "feminists" pick on those who are already been picked on. And of course, in dealing with the grade school bullies we were passive and just took the bullshit harassment. We took the harassment because at the end of the day we had our place to go hang out with our fiends and play our games like: Resident Evil; Marvel v. Capcom; Super Smash Bros.; and GoldenEye! What happened in grade school is happening now. Except these bullies are deciding to take their anger out on a group of people who could honestly not give a flying fuck about the "rampant oppression that a white female in the United States" while on their daily walk to Starbucks to pick up a fucking pumpkin spice latte while listening to their angst hipster music with female vocals on their 64GB iPhone 5S. Now they're fucking up the controlled mess that is the video game industry even further. If I wasn't so goddamn busy with my school work--I'd drop gaming as a pastime like a hot potato.

*Edit: for spelling and grammar and a little better dialogue (I was in the middle of a class). Even then I'm not guaranteeing perfection.
