The writer expresses an opinion and then continues : "now that you know this..." Such arrogance.

Saw the "Jake and Josie" post on this sub (https://www.reddit.com/r/MensRights/comments/6hqxwr/wait_a_second/), wasn't even new to me, and I've long since been aware of the absurdity of men being charged with rape even though both parties consented and were drunk. On impulse I did a quick google search because I like to know what both sides have to say about things, even if I've maybe heard their arguments before anyway.

This one really made me smirk a bit though. It clearly asks the important question, "If both people are wasted, how can one person be assaulting another?" Along with several other questions with pretty clear cut, obvious answers. It goes on to spend the remainder of the article overexplaining the easy questions and then completely ignores the important one.

I feel like this is done intentionally. They brought it up, and then they never actually addressed it. To somebody casually reading the article without that one question in mind, it might appear they satisfactorily covered all ground when they didn't. Which is why I am calling this a strawman argument. (I know it's not exactly a strawman, but the mechanism for deception is largely the same)
