Yesterday, someone in my ex's family posted on Facebook that my ex was deleting her account because of stalkers. This is a pretty big deal to me, because we have a daughter together and she has about 10,000 photos of her on there. My ex and I each have the other blocked.

There was a firestorm of people who asked what the situation was and if everyone was ok. Later in the day they posted that it was me, and that I had been stalking her and am taking her to court to change custody. I knew nothing about this until someone came to my door asking about it, and I have gotten texts all day. People are asking if I'm driving 3 hours to stalk her (we don't live in the same town) or if I'm doing it online or what. My ex is a notorious liar, and I think the situation is either

1) She's lying for whatever benefit she thinks it may give her in court

or

2) She really has a stalker and she thinks it's me

My biggest concern is that someone really is stalking her (more importantly, my daughter) and if they've thought it was me, how long have they let this go on? We have went to court before and she has been yelled at by a judge for the information and things that she has done on the internet. Most of the information earlier was lies about me as well. I've written my attorney but I just want some advice from sources outside of this conflict. Would I be able to successfully sue someone for this? Like I said, she's done this in the past and been yelled at, she's doing it now, and I want it to stop.

I think I should say that, again, we both have each other blocked and the only reason I knew about this is from someone coming to my house and subsequent other conversations. I do not care what she does with her life, my primary concern is with my daughter's safety and my reputation.

Update: I met with some very good lawyers today, and they said that there's not much I should do except ignore it. I just feel like it's no different than me telling people she is a prostitute, but oh well :/ Separately, it does help with my custody case, so I guess not all is lost.
