The historical pattern of women being sluttier drunk than sober, and disapproving when sober of their drunk behaviour, should give grounds for reasonable doubt on its own, especially when there is no evidence. (I don't know facts of this specific case)

EDIT: if we allow stereotypes/historical patterns to presume guilt, we should allow them to presume innocense.

It is evil to submit an accused to trial, for any reason other than you can prove he's guilty. Its can't be about correcting general under reporting of crimes by persecuting any man on baseless accusations.

I'm still trying to understand why slobbering drunkenness is deemed attractive by either gender.

Sometimes I think if people used alcohol more sanely, drugs would have been legalized by now. A lot of people think now the pot smokers are going to get sky high and go out and drive and kill even more people.

I think a lot of people get drunk to do what they want. I guess only men get charged though when everyone sobers up...

I disagree with your conclusion. There is nothing whatsoever in that article that indicates the only reason Mr. Freeman wanted charges brought was due to a historical pattern.

In fact we don't even know he wanted charges brought. He only said he was surprised charges weren't brought.

The article contains his quote - "It's understood there's a history of people taking advantage of women who are intoxicated. It's a pattern people use to their advantage," said Mr. Freeman.

This was probably a excerpt from a long interview. We have no idea what the question which prompted it was. The reporter took quotes from multiple sources and wove them into a narrative dialogue, that probably isn't accurate.

Mr. Freeman admits his entire knowledge of the case was based on a press conference. Based on that he made a statement...when asked out of the blue, no doubt, that he was surprised there were no charges. That is probably a very astute observation based on his knowledge and past experience. You are trying to turn his comments into more than they are.
