So mainstream thought in both Feminism and MRA seems to me to essentially claim to be egalitarian, yet kind of not egalitarian at the same time. It’s confusing.

It also seems that both Feminism and MRA consider the other to be VERY problematic. So it’s a little confusing to know what the defining things for these 3 movements are (especially considering there are radicals in each group that straight up say what other members say is NOT part of their movement).

In order to understand these movements more, I’m trying to draw up a Venn Diagram with 3 circles, to compare and contrast the 3 movements. I’m not doing this for school or work or anything, it’s basically so I can know what the hell I’m talking about when it comes to equality and rights and all that.

What is your opinion on how MRA is similar to Feminism? to Egalitarianism? What is your opinion on how MRA is different from Feminism? From Egalitarianism?

I understand both groups will have people with a lot of negative things to say about the other group, but I’m hoping to hear from people who give thoughtful responses that aren’t just a hateful tirade against the other group. There’s already enough of that online, so please leave your strawmen at the door and only comment if you have helpful things to add.
